Food To Cleanse Your Liver | Liver Detox

Welcome back, here we are talking about what are the foods to cleanse liver or you can say how to detox your liver. In our previous post we have described what is Live & how it works before we start here is a question why liver needed to be cleaned? As you all know liver performs its functions just like a housekeeper, just like we mop up the dirty floor to clean. Somewhat our liver does, liver removes all the nasty toxins from the food and environmental supply. There are many natural food which cleanse the liver.














1. Beets 

                         
Beets are beautiful and bright, red, purplish. Naturally beet look like a blood and it cleanse and purify our blood. Purified blood helps liver to process nutrients and other functions. Beets are full in antioxidant, betacyanin and betanin, Iron, betaine,fiber(in the form of pectin). Pectin is soluble form of fiber which evacuates the toxins from liver. if you are not able to eat beet, you can drink Sweet Beet Juice.

2.  Broccoli

Broccoli is shaped like a mini tree, full of antioxidant and chlorophyll. Cauliflower, Brussels sprouts and broccoli are Cruciferous vegetables loaded with fiber and glucosinolates which help liver to produce enzymes to remove the toxins. Broccoli is full source of fat soluble Vitamin-E.

3. Sweet Potatoes

Sweet Potatoes are rich in Beta Carotene, converts to Vitamin A thru the liver. Its anti inflammatory nutrient which our body loves. Sweet Potatoes is the source of Vitamin A, Vitamin C and fiber.

4. Lemons

Lemon are loaded with Vitamin C (high) ,Calcium,Potassium,Pectin, Bioflavonoids,Citric Acid,Iron and B complex vitamins, antibacterial, antiviral, immune boosting, anti-aging and infection fighting properties. Lemon are replacement of salt in food because it is full of electrolytes.You may use lemons in different ways (Tea,Smoothies, Pickle etc).

5. Lentils

Indian name of Lentils is (Masoor ki Daal). It is very powerful natural source of protein which our liver loves. According to doctors excess protein is not good for liver, but Lentils provides such amount needed by liver to perform cleansing.

6. Fats

Healthy fat is essential for liver to produce bile, if you eat too much fat than liver won't be able to produce the bile, which leads digestion problems. Natural fat is recommended for liver, Walnuts, Avocados, almonds, pumpkin seeds are perfect source.

7. Apple

Apple is full with Pectin which is soluble fiber used to evacuates cholesterol and toxins from the blood.  It is also contain Malic acid, removes carcinogens and other toxins from the body.

8. Garlic

Allicin and Selenium are two powerhouse nutrients for the liver found in Garlic. Selenium contain natural detoxifying minerals and Allicin boots the immune system, light up the liver load. Garlic activates enzymes in the liver to flush out the toxins.

9.  Onions

Onions are rich in potassium, fiber, Allicin and  flavonoids. Onion helps to detoxifying the chemicals and boosts the digestion of the food.

10. Leafy Greens


Leafy greens are all time favorite source for our body, greens full of chlorophyll to cleanse the blood. Give a shot of leafy greens to your liver.  It helps neutralized heavy metals, even toxic chemicals. It can be eaten raw, cooked and juiced. Leafy greens increase the production of bile.
